Big Gay 5K, Dogs in Drag and More
The 2015 Denver Pridefest is coming up this weekend, kicking off on Saturday, June 20th. The event will take place throughout the weekend, with most events taking place at Civic Center Park. Last year, over 365,000 came out to celebrate, making this event one of the biggest pride events in the country.
Schomp MINI is partnering at this event, sending down a MINI in the parade! The CoorsLight Pridefest Parade is one of the biggest and brightest in the country. It’ll be held on Sunday, June 21 at 9:30 a.m., running from Cheeseman park to Civic Center park via Colfax.
Denver Pridefest is hosted by the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center of Colorado, also known as The Center. Besides the parade, there are numerous events taking place all weekend on. Official events include the Denver Dyke March, Transgender Resource Area, Dogs in Drag and the Big Gay 5K.
The Big Gay 5K will take place throughout the city on June 20. Participate in this run that supports the local GLBT community and offers everyone a bit of fun. Prizes will be given out for the best costumes, so come with a colorful and unique look and you just might win! The race will start and end at Civic Center Park in the heart of Denver.
Besides the run, other special events include the Latino Stage experience, Coles Whaeln and Mia at Center Stage, and the Smirnoff Danceworld stage. If you’re looking to make that commitment to your partner, you can also get married at Pridefest!
