Ruapehu Road in New Zealand
This next road is called Ruapehu Road, which gives you one of the most beautiful views in all of New Zealand. Mount Cook is on the South Island of New Zealand and is the highest point in the whole country. The road is wide open, perfect for driving and taking plenty of photos on the way.
Cusco, Peru
In Cusco, Peru (also spelled Cuzco), the open road is full of desert heat and dirt, with an incredible view of the mountains. In southeastern Peru, this location takes you to the Urubamba Valley of the Andes mountain range. It’s the perfect place to get a little dirt on your MINI, then drive on the curvy roads of the Andes.
Mount Evans Byway in Colorado
Known as the “highest paved road in North America,” Mount Evans Byway is located just about 60 miles from Denver! It’s located near Idaho Springs, at Interstate 70 and State Highway 103. Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia, Canada
Looking for a more coastal drive? Cabot Trail is one of Canada’s most beautiful drives, taking you to Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. This road will take you on a loop around the island, with plenty of steep hills, tight curves, and beautiful surroundings. Located in Switzerland, along the Rhone glacier, Furka Pass is known as one of the most dangerous roads in the world, but is probably also one of the most fun. With tight curves with no warning, a steep hill that you can easily slide down if there’s ice, and a view that can easily distract, Furka Pass is something you have to take caution with if you ever do make it out there.
