Here are some tips to make your drive a little smoother.

Our mission to provide a world-class experience does not stop after the purchase of your vehicle. We understand well that there are steps to take after a purchase including registration, titles, insurance and vehicle knowledge. Every purchase is unique and we want you to know we are here for you in that journey.

Here are a few things we know can present challenges. We want to be in front of them so you are prepared and have the contacts you need to accomplish what you need to complete.

— BE AWARE OF COVID-19 RELATED SLOW DOWNS —

LICENSING / TEMP TAGS

Situation: Because of the pandemic, this process has become more challenging for our guests. These offices are primarily doing business with appointments only and the wait can be lengthy.

Solution: Even though you just purchased your vehicle, our recommendation is to make some time to set an appointment with your respective Department of Motor Vehicles location. Appointments can be farther out than one might expect, and past your temp tag expiration date.

How we can help: We are happy to get you an updated temp tag for your vehicle. The fastest way is to contact your Client Advisor via call or text and we can set a time for you to come pick it up that is convenient for you. We are glad to help if you stop in – but in the spirit of time, we prefer to get that process started before you arrive so we have it ready to go when you visit us.

TITLES

Situation: Many government institutions have had to reduce the number of staff members in office to meet ever-changing guidelines. As one would expect, these offices are not moving at their ideal speeds.

Solution: Unfortunately, most of the solution is an exercise of patience and understanding. We will be your advocates, but we are facing the same challenges on our side.

How we can help: The most important thing we can help with is the knowledge of a challenge that is in front of us. One may think that we have an inside track on these situations, but unfortunately that is not the case. As always, our titles department and business offices continually strive for efficiency and speed and making sure we are doing our part to minimize the time for title processing.

— SEASONAL VEHICLE NOTIFICATIONS —

TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING

Situation: As the seasons change, it's not uncommon to see TPM indicators light up the dashboard. This is a common occurrence for new vehicle purchases, especially in Colorado, where the temperatures can change rapidly. The tire pressure may have been set long ago, sometimes in Europe! As the vehicle changes climates, temperature changes and altitude changes, so does the tire pressure.

Solution: Many vehicles have onboard systems that provide readings of your individual tire pressures. On your drivers side interior door frame you will be able to see the specifications of the ideal tire pressure for your tires. If your tires are well out of range, connect with us so we can inspect for any damages that need to be repaired or fixed. If your readings are close to ideal, then most likely this is due to temperature and pressure fluctuations in our environment.

How we can help: Did you know that blending nitrogen gas with the air in your tires helps mitigate the contraction and expansion of tire pressure? If you have low profile tires then we highly recommend this service. We are also happy to help with giving you the guidance you need to understand where to get your ideal tire pressure specifications, and how to navigate your onboard systems to check them and conduct a reset test. Luckily, there are tire inflation stations at many gas stations and car wash locations for the occasional tune up while you are on the go!

— MAXIMIZING YOUR OWNERSHIP EXPERIENCE —

VEHICLE KNOWLEDGE & SECOND DELIVERIES

Situation: Today’s vehicles are incredibly impressive with onboard computers optimizing your driving experience. There have been great advancements in the usability of these systems, but at times we need a refresher to make the most of our ownership experience.

Solution: Our ideal solution is to invite you back in for what we call a Second Delivery of your vehicle. We understand that it might not be feasible to go over every feature of your vehicle right after purchase. Plus, you now have your initial knowledge of how to utilize the systems and want to learn more about other items you have questions about, or want to learn deeper.

How we can help: In person or virtually, we can assist. Second Deliveries are a welcome exercise. We know the more you love your vehicle and the more you command it - the better your ownership experience will be. So, set up some time with us and let’s talk cars – it’s what we love to do.
